Every Other Saturdays - Naturalist Lecture Series
The Museum offers lectures addressing a variety of natural science subjects. Unless noted otherwise, the lectures take place from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Naturalist Center or conference rooms. Lectures are free.

Fish Feeding
Come meet our most fascinating aquarium inhabitants in the conservatory, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 3:30 pm for the large, serpent-like arapaima, and every Wednesday at 3:30 pm and Saturday at 10:30 am for the red piranha.

Identification Services
The Museum's scientific staff in the departments of Geology, Anthropology, Botany, and Zoology, as a matter of legal and ethical policy, does not authenticate or perform appraisals of any artifacts for the public. But they may be able to provide some assistance with basic identification on a range of animals, plants, minerals and fossils, and may also provide resources for further research. This service is free of charge. Its results cannot be for commercial use. You better bring your artifacts to our Naturalist Center, but please do not send the artifacts themselves to the museum.
