Sharing Master View Lecture Series of Fall, 2016

For years, the Ministry of Science and Technology, R.O.C (MOST) has been encouraging companies and communities to contribute their resources to S&T knowledge promotion. As a leading role in exploration, discovery, and theoretical advances in the natural sciences here in Taiwan, the National Museum of Natural Science aims at promoting public awareness and understanding of science and making informal contributions to science education. Various activities such as workshops, demonstrations, lecture series, hands-on activities, contests as well as solar and planetary observations are organized by the Museum to raise our society’s interest and widen their knowledge of science. This ‘Sharing Master View’ lecture series will make it a good example.

Sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology, R.O.C (MOST) and cooperated with National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) and the Co-Life team of National Center for High-speeding Performance Computing (NCHC), ‘Sharing Master View’ hosted by the Museum is a series of lectures related to the cognitions of biology, folklore, and society on Friday afternoons from October through December.

The lecture series features local and national experts speaking on a variety of subjects chosen for their relevance and their ability to spark insight and dialogue. Nine lectures comprise the schedule of ‘Sharing Master View’ series. The Museum Director Sun Wei-hsin, as well as guest speakers, will present talks on a broad range of exhibition- and science-related topics. Amongst guest lecturers there are eminent experts and enthusiasts of different professions, who will inform the audience about animal consciousness and new knowledge about human brain’s plasticity. Themes are chosen from different branches of cognitive science. The nine lectures will start on Friday, October 14 and end on Friday, December 30. The place is the Museum's Blue Conference Room (3D Theater B1). Lectures are held in Chinese. We are looking forward and waiting audience on the nine Fridays at 2PM. 
