Deep into Elephant Herds
NMNS, November, 16, 2017 － As part of the activities accompanying the current exhibition ‘Elephants: Evolution and Tragedy of the Land Mighty’, the National Museum of Natural Science will host day camps for elementary students in 3rd – 6th grade and homeschooled children who were approximately born September 1, 2004 to August 31, 2007.
Where: The Museum campus on 1, Guancian Rd. Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C
What: These full-day camps offer in-depth bioscience experiences for elementary students. Led by Dr. Chang Chun-hsiang, Chairman of the Museum’s Department of Science and Education, and a capable team of 20 museum staff and inspired by our current elephant exhibition curated by Chang, the day camps will create an informative, thought-provoking and entertaining time for kids through talks, board games, DIY activities and multi-stage games to explore the world of elephants.
When: Each camp is offered 9AM – 4:30PM.
Session 1: Saturday, January 27, 2018
Session 2: Sunday, January 28, 2018
Registration: Online registration only, which begins at 10AM, November 30, 2017 and ends December 28, 2017. Visit our registration system to register. Register early; Space is limited to 72 persons per camp and is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Camp Fees: 3rd or 4th graders: NT$ 1,200; 5th or 6th graders: NT$ 1,500
Refund policy: Fees are refundable if requested 15 days prior to the camp day (10% for processing fee applies); 8-14 days (30%); 2-7 days (50%); No refunds will be given starting the camp day. The National Museum of Natural Science has the right to cancel the camp, if the number of attendees does not reach to 15 in each camp, or due to any irresistible reasons. In those cases fees are 100% refundable.
