Bird & Ecology Park Adventure

NMNS, December 14, 2017 - Fonghuanggu Bird & Ecology Park, which became one of the Museum's divisions in the end of January, 2013, is a beautiful district for nature lovers. Covering an area of 33 hectares, the Park features abundant natural resources and ecosystems including many endemic species of birds, frogs, snakes, and many more. As a hub for lifelong learning, the Park, which is designed to invite people of all ages to discover the wonders of nature, offers a wide variety of educational programs and special events that combine excellence in the arts with the beauty of Nature.

What: Fonghuanggu Bird & Ecology Park is not only a place to watch and listen to birds but also a wonderful place for young children as well as adults to learn, play, explore and create. This fun-filled day camp will immerse campers into the wonderful world of nature and art. Camp day is packed with first aid for animals, hands-on art activities and live animal encounters. The camp curriculum is designed to enhance camper’s problem solving skills as they meet injured animal and cultivate a love for nature.

Who: Children with their parents.

Where: The Museum's Fonghuanggu Bird & Ecology Park @ Lugu. You have to have your own transportation. Click here for getting there. Also, for your convenience and safety, please wear pants and sneakers (or sturdy shoes), and bring your own suntan lotion and rain gear with you.

When: Saturday, January 26, 2018; 8:50AM – 4:10PM.

Camp Fee: NT$ 350/person (Insurance, materials and park admission are included; but lunch is excluded).

Registration: The event is by online registration only, which begins at 10am, December 19, 2017 and ends January 2, 2018. Please visit our registration system to register. Register early! Maximum for the camp is 50 people.

Refund policy: Fees are refundable if requested 15 days prior to the camp day (10% for processing fee applies); 8-14 days (30%); 2-7 days (50%); No refunds will be given starting the camp day. The National Museum of Natural Science has the right to cancel the camp if the number of attendees does not reach to 30, or due to any irresistible reasons. In those cases fees are 100% refundable.
