Overnight Fossil Camp
NMNS, January 3, 2018 － People have been fascinated by fossils for thousands of years. Fossils are evidence of ancient life forms or ancient habitats which have been preserved by natural processes. They can be the actual remains of once living things, such as bones or seeds, or traces of past events such as dinosaur footprints, or the ripple marks on a prehistoric shore. Fossils are important because they give us clues to the history of life. Also, certain fossils can be very useful indicators of the presence of ore bodies nearby.
