Founded in 1981 from a small planning office at Chung-hsing University, the National Museum of Natural Science has been growing steadily in its first double-decade. The Museum’s operations have expanded from its first phase (Science Center) through the second and third phases (Life Science & Chinese Science Halls) to the fourth phase (Global Environment Hall), plus the botanical park and the 921 Earthquake Museum, the branch of the NMNS devoted to preparedness against earthquake. The Museum has become one of the most heavily attended resorts in Taiwan. Annually, millions of visitors flocked to the Museum from throughout the island for either an enthralling exhibition or a stunning film, or both. Here are the detailed attendance figures of the Museum within the recent seven years.
