Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure
Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure, National Geographic's new giant-screen film weaves together a series of paleontological digs from around the world in a compelling story about scientists working as detectives to answer questions about the ancient and mysterious ocean world. Audiences are transported back the Late Cretaceous, when a great inland sea divided North America in two.
The film follows a family of Dolichorhynchops – familiarly known as "Dollies," as they travel through the most dangerous oceans in history. On their journey the Dollies encounter long-necked plesiosaurs, giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the monstrous mosasaur.
The film combines the powerful and experiential nature of the giant screen with strong science and educational materials which highlight the complexity and fragility of life in oceans. Merging ultra-high-resolution 3D graphics with compelling imagery and powerful storytelling, the film is an unforgettable prehistoric adventure.
