The Hall of Global Environment offers a vivid and inspiring vision of the spectacular beauty and abundance of life on Earth and the challenging problems our Earth faces as well. It approaches our diverse and changing world with an interdisciplinary perspective, examining human life, culture, and our interaction with the environment.

Remote Astronomical Observatory on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Qinghai-Tibet Plateau reputed as “The Roof of the World” is an ideal place for astronomers to gaze into the remote universe. In this exhibition, visitors are able to remotely control the astronomical telescopes on the Plateau via the Internet, allowing them to learn about the basic concepts of modern astronomical observation and enjoy the magnificent landscapes and unique culture of the Plateau.
