In 1992, NMNS purchased the most advanced 360-degree multimedia theater package available at the time for its Environment Theater. In 2009, this equipment was upgraded to include 28 projectors, five lasers, and 12 small screens that can be lifted or tilted, as well as two walls of television screens, a revolving stage and computer controlled lighting. All of the equipment is energy efficient to fit in with the environmental themes of the theater’s programs. Through the use of multimedia the audience is transported to global environments to better understand the need for sustainable development of the earth’s resources.
It is a 360-degree video that presents the topic of environmental change in the way of storytelling, and presents the issue of warming justice in a simple graphic way to render the environmental issues our Earth is facing today.
