Scolopia oldhamii is a small tree with spines. Leaves are coriaceous, and glabrous. Flowers are pale yellow to white. Fruit is a globose berry, with 4 or 5 seeds. The plant scatters all over Taiwan at low altitudes, common along the coasts.
