Sapindus muko-rossi is a deciduous tree. Leaves are even-pinnate with 8 to 16 leaflets. Flowers are small. Drupes are ellipsoid, yellow, with a single black seed. It grows in forests at low altitudes of Taiwan. The fruit was used as soap.
