Scaevola taccada is an erect or spreading shrub, sometimes a small tree. Leaves are spirally arranged, obovate, 10-25cm long, 5-10cm broad. Inflorescence is a cyme, with few flowers. Drupe is globular. It is widely distributed, scattered and often common along sandy and rocky beaches of Taiwan.
