大冠鷲也稱蛇鵰，是一種中型猛禽，屬於鷹科，喜歡築巢在森林近水邊的樹冠。鳥巢以樹枝條構成，一巢只生一個蛋，會以蛇、蜥蜴、小型鳥、鼠類等作為育雛的食物。當雛鳥還小，母鳥會負責餵食，公鳥則負責捕抓食物；公鳥捕獲食物後會交接給母鳥進行餵食。雛鳥逐漸長大後，母鳥就會把食物直接放到巢內，由雛鳥自行進食。

The crested serpent eagle is a medium-sized bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. This bird builds its nest in treetops using tree branches with only one egg produced per clutch. Snakes, lizards, small birds, and rodents are fed to the young. The males obtain food and pass it to the females, which are responsible for feedings. As the juveniles mature, females place the food in the nest for them to eat on their own.
