Green turtles in the waters off Xiaoliuqiu are not afraid of humans. There is a cleaning station I often visit where fish help remove organisms that have attached themselves to the sea turtles. This reef site is not large and often crowded with turtles. Larger turtles usually intimidate smaller ones through gnawing. The smaller sea turtle on the left is attempting to drive the larger one away. Unsuccessful, it eventually gave up and left.
