Agile, fierce, and terrifying! These are some of the adjectives we use to describe spiders. However, spiders, like other animals, have a maternal nature. Female spiders play the dominant role in selecting a mate and producing and rearing offspring and, thus, tend to be larger than males. Many female spiders stay near their eggs, protecting them from danger. Lynx spiders form a small cradle while comb-footed spiders carry their egg sacs until the eggs hatch and their offspring can live independently. It can only be said that mothers are all the same.
