Archaeology of Fanziyuan Culture - In search of the ancestors of the Pingpu people in central Taiwan
The Fanziyuan Culture marks the final stage of prehistoric times in central Taiwan, bridging the transition from the Late Neolithic to the Metal Age.
Through archaeological excavations, we gain insight into the daily lives of these early inhabitants—their settlements, farming and hunting practices, tool-making skills, and burial traditions.
This temporary exhibition invites visitors on a journey through time, using real artifacts, multimedia displays, and interactive experiences to explore the unique characteristics of the Fanziyuan Culture and its connection to the present-day Plains Indigenous peoples of central Taiwan.
