Right Where Lives Belong-Support Wildlife Conservation with Animal Protection
Have you ever wondered how the dogs and cats living alongside us came into this world?
As early as ten thousand years ago—or even earlier—humans deliberately domesticated and selectively bred animals for different purposes. Through this process, the animals we now call dogs and cats came into existence. Whether they are purebred or mixed-breed, dogs and cats are not wild animals shaped solely by natural evolution; they are companion animals created through human intervention.
When humans fail to take responsibility for managing companion animals and allow dogs and cats to roam freely, these animals are deprived of the Five Freedoms that define basic animal welfare. At the same time, they may come into deadly conflict with wildlife—species that are already struggling to survive amid multiple threats.
We sincerely invite you to see this issue and to reflect on it rationally. We envision a Taiwan where dogs, cats, and all companion animals are no longer left to wander, suffer as strays, or be forced into the role of invasive species that harm wildlife and the environment.
Stand by companion animals without abandonment.
Respect wildlife without disturbance.
May all lives be right where they belong.
