Seeds are the Gemstones of the Botanical Garden
This theme refers to the seeds (or fruits) of Taiwan's native plants produced in or in the collection of the Botanical Garden of the National Museum of Natural Science. They are preserved in a low-temperature environment in a seed bank, awaiting germination. Currently, important plant species or plant species that are environmental indicators can be searched online. The seed or immersion specimen will appear, along with an explanation and video. This experience is like having the plant seeds and specimens in front of you and an instructor next to you. There are 12 displays including Cycas taitungensis, Caesalpinia minax, Mucuna macrocarpa, Acer buergerianum, Nothapodytes nimmoniana, Myristica ceylanica, Cinnamomum kanehirai, Hernandia nymphaeifolia, Sterculia ceramica, Lithocarpus konishii, Sapindus mukorossi, and Ficus formosana.
