Daily wear: Clothing was mainly made from animal skins and included animal skin cap, head wrap, shirt, sash, animal skin rain coat, deer skin shirt, deer skin leggings, pipe bag and gunpowder bag.

Formal attire: On important occasions, Rukai males wore cap with emblems. They also wore formal shirt, skirt, sash, leggings, waistband, cape and headdress.

Full attire: As part of their everyday wear, Rukai males wore an animal skin cap or head wrap. They also wore a long-sleeved short shirt with a piece of embroidered cloth to the right of the lapel. This was complemented with a single piece wraparound short skirt. On important occasions, leggings were added.
