High Belly, Round Base Pot
High belly, round base pot (museum accession number:YL0910)
This pot possesses everted mouth, abbreviated neck, high belly, and round base. It has a capacity of 20 liters. There are no scorch marks on the bottom of this pot. Thus, it was mainly used for storage rather than for cooking. This type of pottery vessel was rarely seen in other archaeological sites. At the Yuliao site, most of the pottery vessels were of this type. Thus, it can be said that this is the Yuliao type representative pottery vessel.
