Pseudophilipsia sp.
Pseudophilipsia sp. is of the order Proetida. Location: Russia; Age: Early Permian. The proetids appeared during the Ordivician period and were the only surviving trilobites following a mass extinction event at the end of the Devonian period. They finally disappeared during a mass extinction event at the end of the Permian period. In this specimen, the free cheeks on the left and right are separated from the cephalon.
