Topaz
In Sanskrit, topaz means fire, which refers to the yellowish orange color of this mineral. Actually, pure topaz is transparent and colorless or slightly yellow. If combined with other elements or impurities, different colors are produced. Therefore, topaz is not necessarily yellow. In this exhibition is a rough yellowish orange topaz specimen in association with quartz, albite and muscovite, as well as a blue, 104-carat, faceted specimen from Brazil.
