National Museum of Natural Science

Batan Walis is the wife of Mona Rudao. This puppet was produced in 2011 by the National Museum of Natural Science for its puppet show Seediq Bale. It breaks away from the traditional puppet theater role classification, as it was made specifically for one character. There are markings on its forehead and cheeks to represent traditional facial tattoos, indicating that she is an adult. This puppet is dressed in traditional Seediq clothing.
