Young Han Warrior

In traditional puppet theater, the white-faced warrior role is of the sheng type. The lack of facial hair indicates that this is a young male. Such characters are often highly intellectual. The headgear worn by a young Han warrior shows that he is both civilized and good in battle. On the sides, the top wings represent intellect. The flames above represent prayers to the heavens and masculinity, revealing both his intellect and military prowess.
