Small porcelain cups

These blue and white porcelain, white porcelain, and overglaze decorated porcelain cups are from Bantou Village, in Chiayi County’s Xingang Township. They were produced at the Dehua Kiln during the Qing dynasty. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, small teapots and cups were popular in southern Fujian Province and Chaoshan region of Guangdong Province. Small cups can retain the tea’s aroma. This habit of drinking tea from small cups also became popular in Taiwan.
