Tea basket
This tea basket from Wenshui, Miaoli was used to keep tea warm. It is made of straw with cotton and cotton cloth inside. Water could be kept hot in this basket for six hours. In early Taiwan, once hot tea was brewed and the tea leaves were extracted, it was kept in a tea basket for the family to drink throughout the day.
