Dragon jar

In early times, dragon jars were used to hold water or simply tea stems brewed in water and were placed out in the field to help quench farmers’ thirst. They were made of rough clay and the outlet was decorated with a dragon to represent good fortune. Ordinary families rarely had exquisite tea pots or cups for drinking tea. Most used a dragon jar instead of a teapot.
