Agaricus campestris
These are not the artificially cultivated mushrooms that you see on the dining table. These are wild mushrooms that grow in grassy areas that are commonly known as meadow mushrooms. Reaching a height of 5-10 cm, they appear in green fields, often sporadically. The flesh is white, delicate, and delicious. If you are lucky, you may encounter fairy rings of these mushrooms growing among the grass. It is really one of life’s small pleasures to be outdoors walking on grass.
