The body of the abalone muhroom is milky yellow and it has a short stem that grows laterally. It often overlaps creating the appearance of a fan hanging from a branch when seen from a distance. As it is more common in summer it was once known as “the summer abalone mushroom.” It is a common edible mushroom sold in markets.
