Liagore rubromaculata
A red polka-dotted general
The red-spotted crab is a member of the superfamily Carpilioidea and is widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific region in rocky reefs at depths of 10-110 meters. It has a smooth, oval, yellow-brown carapace with dark red spots, and no sharp edges or spines. It can be said to be a cute representative of the crab world. Its trademark red spots are used to quickly identify it, even when fossilized. Thus, they are an important feature in species identification.
