Papilio bachus chrysomelus
Papilio bachus chrysomelus is a member of the Pterourus subgenus. It diverged around the late Oligocene to early Miocene. Its distribution is in the Neotropical region of South America and there are two subspecies. Wingspan is approximately 11 cm. The wings are black with gold-orange markings, resembling brush-footed butterflies.
