Graphium agetes

  • English Name:Fourbar swordtail

The fourbar swordtail is a member of the subgenus Pathysa. Its distribution is in tropical Asia within the Indomalayan realm. Wingspan is 4.5-6 cm. In adults, the dorsal surface of the wings is white and the margins are translucent at the anterior end. The anterior margins feature four oblique black lines. The tail extensions of the hindwings are elongated and there are red markings in the tornal area. The larvae feed on Fissistigma oldhamii in the Annonaceae family.
