Papilio dardanus
The mocker swallowtail is a member of the subgenus Princeps, which diverged from the late Miocene to the early Pliocene and has 13 subspecies. Wingspan is 9-10.8 cm. Males are yellowish-white with some black markings and tail extensions. Among females there is polymorphism (morphs), with mimicry of poisonous species in the Danaus and Acraea genera. In this species, mimicry is limited to one sex (it is the only swallowtail species in which only one sex exhibits Batesian mimicry). It is distributed in sub-Saharan Africa, including Madagascar and the Comoro Islands.
