Jar-shaped vessel

Accession no.: HLL-A-PT0186

Site: Huilai site

Residual height: 100.0 mm

Mouth diameter: 91.6 mm

Only half the body has been restored. This brown fine sand clay jar has a curved everted mouth and round lip. Along the rim, internally and externally, are marks from being produced on a wheel. On the neck is an impressed pattern. Below the neck is a platform-like area. It is speculated that the neck and abdomen were made separately and joined at the platform. The belly is decorated in parallel dotted and ripple patterns.
