Germination of begonia seeds

Begonia seeds can be directly sown in moist media and germinate in 4-6 weeks. However, in most species, the seedling period is half a year or more. That is, they grow slowly after germination. If starting from the sprouting of seeds, it usually takes around two years before they bloom. As far as breeding is concerned, this is very time-consuming and caring for young plants is a challenge.
