Begonia semiparietalis tissue culture seedling

Originating in Guangxi, China, Begonia semiparietalis was named by Professor Ching-I Peng from the Biodiversity Research Center of Academia Sinica after its discovery in 2006. There is large variation in the leaves and it is a good candidate for breeding. In addition, tissue culture is a very safe and stable method for seed preservation. By storing in bottles, interference from pests is reduced, as is the risk of loss of live seeds.
