Pharmacological properties: Tastes sweet, light; cold in nature.
Functions and indications: Diuretic, relieves stranguria, clears away heat, detoxifies. Mainly used to treat heat stranguria, bloody stranguria, sandy stranguria, gonorrhea, leucorrhea, swelling due to dampness, diarrhea due to damp heat, and jaundice due to damp heat. It can also be used to treat vomiting of blood, bleeding from the nose, hematuria, and bleeding wounds.
