Excerpt of summary of original text: The Han Chinese people refer to this species as "Hoe-kwa-cheow", which means "embroidered bird". This is a true forest bird. It lives in higher mountain areas and prefers to perch on the highest branches of tall trees. It can stand without moving for hours. If you hear its clear and distinct calls and songs, but cannot see it, it is possible that the colors of its plumage blend in well with the leaves.--From Development History of Birds in Taiwan by Lin Wen-Hong (1997), Taiwan Interminds Publishing.
