This species is also referred to as flat top Ganoderma. Its distribution is in temperate areas on the trunks of broad-leaved trees. It has been found to have anti-cancer properties and can be used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis-associated pulmonary tuberculosis. This Ganoderma species also has pain relief and heat clearing properties and can be used to stop bleeding and reduce phlegm.
