Colorful Blooms - Poinsettia Exhibition看展覽
Christmas is an important holiday during which family members and friends come together and exchange blessings at the end of the year. The poinsettia, with its vibrant red petal-like bracts, is an essential ornamental plant during this season. In Taiwan, it is the second most popular potted plant after the Phalaenopsis orchid and is the first flowering plant for which plant variety rights are protected.
To celebrate the season, the Colorful Blooms - Poinsettia Exhibition is taking place in the Botanical Garden’s exhibition gallery. It features 600 potted poinsettias of various colors, provided by potted plant companies based in Nantou County’s Puli Town. A beautiful sea of flowers is created to evoke a warm, festive atmosphere. This exhibition also offers the chance to learn about poinsettias, including the breeding of new varieties, and plant variety rights.
