The Dance of Four Seasons – Oncidium Orchid看展覽
Taiwan, celebrated as the “Kingdom of Orchids”, is rich in orchid diversity and renowned for its advanced breeding. Among them, Oncidium—affectionately known as the Dancing Lady Orchid—is second only to Phalaenopsis in importance, admired for its dazzling shapes and colors. To date, 43 new Oncidium cultivars in Taiwan have been granted plant variety rights and are progressively entering the market, further enriching the diversity of flower forms and colors within the Oncidium family.
This exhibition, co-organized with the Floral Industry Innovation Center, Ministry of Agriculture, presents newly bred cultivars along with popular market varieties. Through this display, we highlight not only the beauty of Oncidiums but also the importance of protecting plant variety rights.
Arranged as vibrant “flowering trees,” the orchids are designed to capture the colors of the four seasons—showcasing the year-round charm and endless diversity of the Dancing Lady Orchid.
