• Botanical Garden

  In general, modern urbanites are unfamiliar with Taiwan's native plants and vegetation types. This museum's 4.5-hectare Botanical Garden provides a place for city dwellers to experience Taiwan's native plants up close. In addition, inside a towering greenhouse is a diverse collection of rain forest trees and plants from all over the world, presented in the form of a simulated rain forest environment complete with complicated plant communities.

• Human Cultures Hall

  The Human Cultures Hall includes six main areas: Chinese Medicine, Chinese Science and Technology, Agricultural Ecology, Ancient Chinese, The Spiritual Life of Han People, The Culture of Taiwan Austronesian and Oceania.

  The Science Center includes Exploring Science, The World of Semiconductor, Legends of the Universe, and The Fantastic World of Matter exhibit areas, as well as the Children's Discovery Room.

  The Life Science Hall introduces visitors to the wonders of nature. The hall is divided into several exhibit units: Gateway to the Living World, The Origin of Life, The Evolution of Plants, Life Takes to the Land, The Age of Dinosaurs, Flight, Extinction, The Evolution and Adaptability of Mammals, The Story of Man,The Journey of Human Life, Numbers and Forms, Color in Nature and Sounds in Nature.
