生活在青楓樹上的蚜蟲，雌蟲不需交配，就能自行以胎生的方式產下幼蟲，屬於「孤雌生殖」。蚜蟲在生產過程中，同時也會瞬間排出體內多餘的水份，畫面相當難得。

Female aphids do not need to mate, as they are viviparous, able to give birth to live young. This type of asexual reproduction is termed parthenogenesis. During the birthing process, taking place in a green maple tree, an aphid expels excess water. It is quite rare for such an image to be captured.
