毛毛蟲在許多人的眼中是醜陋的，但其實許多毛毛蟲有著令人驚艷的色彩與美麗的臉譜。圖一是雙尾蝶的幼蟲，牠的臉是不是很像「龍」；圖二是臺灣小紫蛺蝶的幼蟲，牠的臉則像是長角的國劇臉譜；圖三則是稻眉眼蝶的幼蟲，牠則是有著一張貓臉。

Some people consider caterpillars ugly; however, many of them exhibit stunning colors and beautiful features. The first image is of the larva of Charaxes eudamippus. Does its head not look like the head of a dragon? The second image is of the larva of Chitoria chrysolora, which looks like it is wearing a horned mask of a Chinese opera character. The third image shows the larva of Mycalesis gotama, with its cat-shaped head.
