位於天鵝座的一顆超新星在約5,000至8,000年前爆炸,其光線經過漫長旅行後到達地球,形成的超新星殘骸被稱為面紗星雲(又名網狀星雲、天鵝圈)。殘骸視直徑大約為3度(6個月亮的大小),分成東、西面紗兩個部分,較著名的還有皮克林的三角形(NGC6979)。其中西面紗的一部分為NGC6960,也被稱為女巫的掃帚星雲。星雲主要由電離氣體及塵埃雲組成,其中以兩次電離氧([OIII])的輻射最為明顯,此外還包含氫、硫等元素。星雲中心有一顆與該系統無關的前景星—天津增十九(天鵝座52),左邊可以看見一顆小流星劃過,使這張影像顯得更加獨特。

Introduction

The Cygnus Loop is a large supernova remnant (SNR) in the constellation Cygnus, originating from a supernova explosion approximately 5,000 to 8,000 years ago. Its visible portion is known as the Veil Nebula (also called the Cirrus Nebula or Cygnus Loop). The remnant has an angular diameter of about 3° (approximately six moon widths) and is divided into two main sections: the Eastern and the Western Veils. Other notable features include Pickering's Triangle (NGC6979). A portion of the Western Veil is designated NGC6960, commonly known as the Witch's Broom Nebula. This SNR is primarily composed of ionized gas and dust clouds, with emissions dominated by twice-ionized oxygen ([OIII]), along with hydrogen, sulfur, and other elements. The foreground star 52 Cygni, visible in the center of the nebula, is unrelated to this system; moreover, a small meteor streaking across the left side adds a unique touch to this image.

設定:曝光148分鐘+ISO800。Siril疊圖及小波轉換銳化+StarNet++加強雲氣+PhotoshopTM調色。
