葉序以等距螺旋的方式，次第排列於主莖上，使其光合作用的受光面積和空間效率達到最大化。為了平衡自身的重量，主莖又以旋轉的方式迴旋延伸；絹毛鳶尾，雖是有機的植物，卻有著機械般精準美麗的布局和結構。

Leaves are arranged in an equidistant spiral along the main stem, maximizing the light-receiving area and spatial efficiency for photosynthesis. To balance its weight, the main stem undergoes radial growth. Although crepe ginger (Costus speciosus) is an organic plant, it has a precise, beautiful mechanical arrangement and structure.
