兇狠圓軸蟹是臺灣體型最大的陸蟹；每逢夏秋繁殖季，西部沿海常見成群結隊的母蟹，為了孕育後代，無懼風險抱著卵團勇敢地穿越馬路，向海邊前行，將生命的種子釋放入海。這些新生的生命在海中經歷漫長的轉變，從蚤狀幼體到大眼幼體，隨著多次蛻變，終於長成小蟹，再次回到陸地生活。從海洋到陸地，陸蟹的一生充滿了重重挑戰，彷彿命運的浪潮總在考驗牠們的毅力與適應力。

The brown land crab is the largest terrestrial crab in Taiwan. During their breeding season in summer and autumn, groups of female crabs emerge along Taiwan’s western coast. To release egg masses, they bravely cross fields and meander to the sea. After hatching, these newborns undergo a long transformation from zoea to megalopa. After several molts, they finally grow into juvenile crabs and return to land. From the sea to the land, these crabs’ lives are filled with challenges, as if the tides of fate are testing their perseverance and adaptability.
