Water molecules are highly cohesive due to their ability to form hydrogen bonds. They are also adhesive due to intermolecular forces. These images of water droplets were created based on these cohesive and adhesive forces. Water droplets were released from a syringe and adhered to a pumpkin vine. Water droplets are also like convex lenses, refracting light. After light was refracted through a convex lens, according to the principle of refraction, an inverted, reduced image of the background flower was projected onto the camera sensor at the other end. Therefore, a single water droplet reflected an entire image. These beautiful images were captured in accordance with the principles of light refraction through water.
