透明標本令人著迷之處在於染色與透明過程對標本變化的觀察,在科學研究中解決X光無法拍攝軟骨組織以及清晰呈現多層骨骼重疊的問題,相比CT,其成像不受機器空間限制、價格便宜且可以上手操作,在魚類的型態解剖研究上還是有無可取代之處。作品取材自大溪漁港雜蝦中鮃科(Bothidae)的魚類,先將其以透明標本製作技術製成標本,調整染色步驟使三個樣本分別呈現藍染、紅染、紅藍雙色染色的效果,平時作為教具使用,可明顯觀察硬骨及軟骨的型態與分布。作品名稱《疊合》則代表中央的標本為左右兩樣本的染色結果的疊加。

Introduction

The allure of transparent specimens lies in observing the changes that take place during diaphonization. They resolve the limitations of X-ray technology in capturing cartilaginous tissue, clearly revealing overlapping layers of the skeletal system. Compared to CT imaging, the specimen size is not limited by the machine, and the process is inexpensive and straightforward. Transparent specimens are irreplaceable in the study of fish morphology and anatomy. This image is of a member of the Bothidae family (left-eye flounders) obtained from Daxi Fishing Port. The staining process was adjusted, resulting in the three samples being stained blue, red, and red-blue. These can be used as teaching aids, as they clearly reveal the morphology and distribution of bones and cartilage. The title of this work refers to the superimposition of the staining results of the two samples to the right and left of the central specimen.

設備:使用Olympus的TG7顯微鏡功能進行拍攝。將標本置於佈滿甘油的培養皿中,放在板燈上進行拍攝,呈現出標本的透明以及被染色的骨骼重疊後的顏色深淺變化。使用PS後製去除多餘背景拼接於單一畫面中,主體顏色則調整至與實物盡可能相同,因此三個樣本依據其染色時間與濃度,呈現的紅與藍有不同的彩度及飽和度。
